Motorcycle Crash in Boise County Injures One
Boise County, ID – On October 7, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a crash that occurred on State Highway 55 at mile marker 84, north of Banks, ID.
A 78-year-old male, from Peck, was traveling southbound on State Highway 55 riding a 2024 Honda Goldwing motorcycle towing a homemade trailer with a second motorcycle on it. The rider lost control and crashed.
The rider was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital. The rider was wearing a helmet.
The highway was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours while crews worked to clear the crash.
Idaho State Police was assisted by the Boise County Sheriff’s Office, Cascade Fire Department, Horseshoe Bend Fire Department, Garden Valley EMS, and Air St. Luke’s.
This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
