Fatality Crash Highway 95 Milepost 469, Sagle, Idaho.

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. on May 25, 2026, on US95 near milepost 469 in Bonner County, near Sagle, Idaho.

At approximately 1:25 p.m., an 18-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho, was traveling southbound on US95 near milepost 469 in a red 2011 Buick LaCrosse. A white 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, driven by a 65-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho, was traveling northbound on US95. The Buick LaCrosse crossed left of center and struck the Dodge Ram head-on.

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the Buick and his passenger, a 48-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The two occupants of the Dodge Ram were transported to a local hospital, one by ground ambulance and one by air ambulance.

The highway was intermittently blocked for approximately three hours. Next of kin have not yet been notified. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
